SPICE RACK ローンチ・パーティー/ SPICE RACK Launch Party

Rack=棚に並んだ色とりどりのスパイス。

土曜日はまさにそんな感じだった。

数週間後にひかえた「SPICE RACK」のオープン前に一度スパイスの方たちの顔合わせをしようと思い、スパイスのひとりである作家の桐島洋子さんのお宅でローンチ・パーティーをさせていただいた。

独立して何年も経つスパイス、数年前に起業したスパイス、ラックと同時にスタートするスパイス、モノを作るスパイス、作品を紹介するスパイス、サービスを提供するスパイスと起業歴も仕事のジャンルもさまざま。
ただ｢独立｣というテーマで女性たちが集まるプロジェクトなので、みんな事業のオーナーである。いろいろな意味で共通項が多い。おかげさまで盛り上がり、とても楽しい会となった。

百聞は一見にしかず。今回のブログはフォトでどうぞ。スパイスのみなさま、お疲れさまでした！これからもよろしくお願い申し上げます。スパイス候補のみなさま、ご参加お待ちしています！

And it all begins here

Colorful spices gathered on a rack.

Saturday was just such a gathering.

We decided to invite all the Spices for a get-together before the launch of SPICE RACK in a few weeks. The party took place at the home of a Spice, author Yoko Kirishima, who generously offered us her place.

All the Spices had a different story to tell. Some have been working independently for many years, several just went independent a few years ago and a couple will launch their projects along with SPICE RACK. There were Spices who make products, create art work and who offer services. The common thread being that they are their own bosses and accountable to oneself. I know from personal experience that it’s really nice to meet people who you can relate to. I think everyone thought the same.

A picture is worth a thousand words. It was as fun as it looks! Thank you Spices for being part of SPICE RACK. Future Spices, we look forward to hearing from you.
